The Fabric, A Book and A Giveaway
I curated a collection of my favorite solid color fabrics, The Make It Simpler Palette, for Robert Kaufman Fabrics.
The collection works extremely well together as you can see in my quilt below which was finished and quilted by Janice E Petre.
Now a wonderful book, Rock Solid, compiled by Karen M. Burns of 13 designer quilts made entirely of Kona fabrics has been published.
It's a fabulous resource.
Isn't the image a wonderful staging? Martingale, the publisher included the ground in all of the book's quilts, givng a them a spatial relationship.
Question: How many colors are in this quilt?
Answer: THIRTY-TWO
Question: How many Geese units were sewn?
Answer: NONE They just happen by magic!
Question: Does Anita have a special technique to make these stars?
Answer: Yes, and it's AMAZING!
Question: Where is the pattern for this QUILT?
Answer: In the new book ROCK SOLID from Martingale
Choose one of my THIRTY-TWO favorite colors below (also viewable by clicking on the image) and leave it as a comment below. Martingale will forward the ROCK SOLID eBook to the winner. My favorite color is ULTRA MARINE. Maybe it's because my name is Marina. )
Seafoam. So happy the book and pattern is out now!!!!
Grellow! It plays so well with my stash!
I love berry! And i wear it a lot! Lisa
What a generous giveaway. Definitely ultramarine for me - it's the closest you have to teal. Thanks!
I like Celestial. It's a beautiful blue that's not too purple.
Ultramarine - in honor of a recently deceased friend. Teal was her favorite color.
I'll choose coral as my favorite, but there are so many wonderful solids, it IS hard to choose.
Pomegranate is my favorite color! Can't wait to read your book! I do love all Kona colors! Congratulations on the new book!
Gotta say I love Pepper!
My fav is seafoam--it was always the first color I used in my new crayon boxes as a kid. I paired it with copper. It was gorgeous. I love your classes on Craftsy!! Log cabin twist in homespuns ( my 1980's stash) is in the works for my husband.
My favourite is Berry. No, Pomegranate. No, Berry. Okay, it's Berry, at least for the next few seconds. I can see that it's time to make another Anita magic quilt.
I love them all but Coral is my fav!
Include every one of them on my fave list... but if I must choose one, I chose Coral. What a happy quilt you have created.

I love Color! My favorite depends on the day, my mood, the project, the other colors, just a lot of things. Today's favorite will be different tomorrow. I tried to choose one from your beautiful collection, but just couldn't. I love them all!
