Houston, we had tone

Re-purposing for Anita's Arrowhead
Jan Krentz and I enjoyed a few Saturday night parties at the last Quilt Market. I returned home to New York with a souvenir gift from the Robert Kaufman party: a generously sized piece of  Jennifer Sampou's "Fiesta" which had served its calling as table topper.

I got around to laundering it today. The food stains came out, I undid the hem and rough cut a nine inch square from the topper, left, to make an  Anita's Arrowhead block
Another memento from Market:  Jackie Kunkel's podcast that Jan and I recorded in the morning following the the parties. Details, photos and links are here

This weekend I'm making a quilt with these Houston souvenirs from Dear Stella. According to Longfellow,  "All things come round to him who will but wait." The wait is over, my quilt is due next week. Work. Play. Work. Smile.
